After Climate Camp

After Climate Camp

This section of the website will host various resources to

  1. provide post-arrest support to people for whom Climate Camp doesn't end on the 15th July (for example people who chose to get arrested at the Camp)
  2. help us all make Climate Camp bigger and better next time.

What Did You Think of Climate Camp?

We'd like to know about your experience of climate camp. There is a survey (4 pages, takes about 10 minutes) and you can get to it by clicking here.

Lost Property

We have tried to pick out the things that people will want back from the pile of stuff left behind. It includes diaries, glasses, warm clothes, beautiful hats, a pair of very big thongs, a phone charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter, plus more I can't think of right now. The rest has been earmarked for a clothes swap / free-shop or the op-shop. If you need something back, email info at climate camp dot org dot au.

Climate Camp Evaluation Survey

Climate Camp Australia 2008 was six days of inspiring workshops and peaceful direct action culminating in a large-scale community protest aimed at shutting down the world's largest coal port in Newcastle.

The camp drew hundreds of citizens from around the country and the Pacific region who were concerned about climate change, and want real action: people who were old and young, seasoned protestors and folks who had never been to a protest before.

Now that camp is over, the organisers hope to learn what worked and what camp achieved, what to do differently in future and your ideas for ongoing community climate action. This questionnaire will help that process. It should take no more than 20 minutes to complete. Your responses are confidential.

For more information about the evaluation questionnaire, contact James (james@thechangeagency.org / 0431 150 928).
